A standard granite benchtop takes 1–2 hours to polish. Most residential granite floor polishing is completed in a single day. Large commercial granite floors may take 1–2 days. We provide an accurate timeframe during our free on-site assessment.
Most granite surfaces can be polished from a smooth satin finish through to a deep mirror-like high gloss. The achievable result depends on the granite's condition and the grit progression we work through. We discuss your preferred finish before starting.
With correct maintenance using pH-neutral products and periodic professional care, a polished granite finish typically lasts 3–5 years before requiring re-polishing. High-traffic commercial granite floors may need re-polishing sooner.
