Also the shower leaked every time we used it. I contacted Ryan and he was professional, on time and delivered a high quality or work. Even coming back the next week to fix an unexpected issue (big gaps between the floor and wall). The before and after pics show the difference. We are very happy so far.

After having bluestone crazy paving laid, I had a nightmare experience with a previous tradesman who applied a dark-tinted sealer and then unsuccessfully tried to grind it out. The stone looked ruined.
I called Ausfloor Care, and Indie was fantastic. He explained exactly what needed to happen to fix the damage. He managed to restore the bluestone to its beautiful natural color and applied a natural-look sealer that truly highlights the stone. We absolutely love the finished result. If it wasn’t for Indie and his team, I would have given up and tiled over the entire area. Highly recommended!

Indie repaired the cracks in our terrazzo kitchen floor and has honed and polished it to a beautiful finish.

Why does my marble benchtop look dull and rough?

The most common cause is acid etching — marble's calcium carbonate reacts instantly with acids like lemon juice, vinegar, wine, coffee and many kitchen cleaners, dissolving the surface and leaving dull, rough patches. Etching cannot be wiped away — it requires professional diamond polishing or honing to remove.

Should I polish or hone my stone kitchen benchtop?

For kitchen benchtops, we generally recommend honing. A honed matte-to-satin finish conceals everyday acid etching, knife marks and wear far better than a polished surface, which shows every new mark. Honing gives you a beautiful, practical benchtop that looks better for longer.

Can you fix a chipped stone benchtop corner?

Yes — corner and edge chips are extremely common and we repair them routinely. We rebuild the missing section with colour-matched stone epoxy, cure it, then grind and polish to blend with the surrounding surface. In most cases the repair is very difficult to detect.

How do I care for my stone benchtop after restoration?

Use only pH-neutral, stone-safe cleaning products. Wipe up acid spills immediately. Use a chopping board rather than cutting directly on stone. Have the benchtop professionally sealed every 1–3 years. We provide a full care guide with every service.
